What is cool deck coating?
Cool deck (some folks know it by the old brand name Kool Deck) is a coating made specifically for pool decks and patios, and it goes on as a spray. We spray it over your existing concrete, then knock the high points down with a trowel while it's still workable. That's where the name knockdown texture comes from, and what it leaves you is a surface covered in small, even bumps instead of a slick flat slab. Those bumps give you grip so nobody's slipping when the deck is wet, and the texture and a lighter color both help with the heat, so the deck is a lot friendlier on bare feet through a Texas summer.
