Pool Deck Resurfacing in the Texas Hill Country
Give the pool its good years back.
When the concrete around your pool starts flaking, cracking, and looking tired, you don't have to tear the whole thing out. That's what pool resurfacing is for: we come back over your worn deck and make it look new again. Some folks call it pool decking, and it's the same job either way, because the deck is what we're laying down. It's honestly one of the most dramatic before-and-afters we do, and like everything else, you're working directly with us, Shane and Keena, start to finish. We quote it, we schedule it, and we make sure it's done right.

Why folks choose it
- Restores a worn, cracked deck without a full tear-out
- A fraction of the cost of replacing the concrete
- Your pick of finish: cool deck texture or our granite-look flake
What is pool resurfacing?
Over the years, the surface around a pool takes a beating: sun, water, pool chemicals, and foot traffic wear that top layer down until it's flaking, cracked, faded, or rough underfoot. Resurfacing fixes all of that without ripping out your slab. We repair the cracks, chips, and worn spots, then lay a fresh, textured surface right over the concrete you already have. Pool resurfacing and pool decking are two names for this same work, so if you've been calling it one and we've been calling it the other, we're talking about the same thing. When we're done, it looks new again, and it's easier on bare feet, too.
Restore your deck, without tearing it out
Here's what most folks don't realize: if your slab is still solid underneath, you almost never need to rip it out and pour a whole new deck. Tearing it out means demolition, weeks of your backyard being a construction zone, and a much bigger bill. Resurfacing works with the concrete you've already got: it's faster, it's a fraction of the cost, and the finished deck looks every bit as good. We take a deck you're a little embarrassed by and hand you back one you're proud to have people over for.
When resurfacing is the right call — and when it isn't
We'll always be straight with you. Resurfacing is the right fix when your slab is structurally sound but the surface is worn: flaking, cracked on top, faded, or rough. If the concrete underneath is actually failing (sinking, or cracked clean through), we'll tell you honestly that it needs more than a resurface, instead of coating over a problem that'll just come right back. Either way, you get the truth about what your deck actually needs.
Flake or cool deck? Your call
When we resurface a deck, you get to pick what goes back down. Cool deck is the sprayed knockdown texture built for pool surrounds: small even bumps for grip, and lighter colors that help with the sun. Flake is the same granite-look speckle we put in garages, in any of our named blends, with grip that comes from the chips layering up. Both come in at $5 to $7 per square foot, so the price is the same either way and you're choosing on looks and feel. Tell us how the deck gets used and we'll give you our honest recommendation.
What does pool resurfacing cost?
Pool deck resurfacing runs $5 to $7 per square foot, installed, whether we finish it in flake or in cool deck. Where you land in that range depends on the size of your deck and how much repair the surface needs first, since repairs are what stretch a job. Resurfacing almost always comes in well under the cost of a full tear-out and replacement. Your quote is free and same-day, with a straight answer on price up front, never at the end. And if you're military, a veteran, a first responder, or an educator, ask about your discount.
How long does pool resurfacing take?
Most pool deck resurfacing runs two to three days. Repairs are what stretch it: the more cracking and worn surface we have to fix first, the longer the prep takes. Give it 24 hours after we finish before you walk it and put the furniture back, and if we sealed the joints around the coping, stay off that sealant for another day. We'll always give you the honest timeline before we start, so you can plan around it.
Where we resurface pools
We resurface pool decks all over: New Braunfels, Seguin, San Marcos, Canyon Lake, Spring Branch, Bulverde, and everywhere in between. If you're somewhere in the Hill Country, chances are we've already done a deck near you.
